July 2023 Light Academia Bullet Journal Theme

July is soft neutrals, lace textures and sweet little birds in my bullet journal! Light academia is a bit outside my usual wheelhouse, but I fell in love with two particular washi tape sets and the theme really designed itself!

Watch the theme come together in the video below, or scroll down for detailed photos of each page. There are links to everything I used at the bottom of the page too!

Cover and Quote Pages

Lately I’ve been planning my pages on a channel-members-only livestream - and it was on that livestream one of my lovely channel members gave me the idea for this quote! I’ve used the Workshop Wishes ink from Ferris Wheel Press as a big component of this theme - the brush lettered quote and the stamped letters are both featuring this gorgeous ink. I used it with some stamps throughout the rest of the pages too!

Calendar Spread

I initially tried to set the calendar up with a lovely dark brown brush pen, but it bled under the ruler I was using and ended up looking a bit awful! Luckily I had a pad of Rhodia dot grid paper handy, so I ended up adding my calendar lines on that paper and sticking it over the top.
The collaged designs in the top left and bottom right corners were so much fun to add - layering with these washi and PET tapes is really easy!

One Line A Day & Goals, Favourites & Musings Pages

I’ve been loving my one line a day adventures in June, so I’m bringing it with me into July too! I love keeping a little snapshot of the things I’m loving in my favourites section, and a place to break down my yearly goals into monthly steps in the goals box. The musings section is a little peek into my mind this month - the things I’ve been thinking about, dreaming about, worrying about or working on.

Habit & Mood Tracker Pages

Some months I live for it, some months I forget about it, but I always love including a habit tracker in my journal pages. I used some more of that Rhodia paper to make sure I could layer them over this lace paper.
The mood tracker was inspired by one of the laser cut paper shapes - similar to the ones I used on previous pages! Each little rose represents a day in the month of July, and I’ll colour in each one each day in one of four colours that I assign to represent a mood. I loved this mood tracker design so much I made it into a printable! You can grab it on Etsy here, or for free on my YouTube community page if you’re a channel member.

Spending Log & Meal Planner Pages

These two are super functional pages - one for keeping track of spending, and one for planning out my meals and shopping lists for the months in an effort to eat better! I don’t always stick to my meal plan but it definitely helps me be more mindful.

Content Planner Spread

I juggle a lot of social media accounts, and it can be a lot to keep up with. This content planner helps me prioritise, organise and schedule my content for Youtube, Instagram and my blog (this one and the blog for my photography business) and see it all at a glance. If you’d like to see exactly how I use it, I have a new post about that here!

Weekly Spread

I always set up the first of my weeklies along with the rest of my monthly pages, but I’ve been setting up the rest of them on Livestream lately! You can see the next two weeklies at my livestream here!
