February 2021 - A Rosey Valentine’s Bullet Journal Theme

I don’t usually make a Valentines themed February in my bullet journal, but something about these sweet little roses called to me in mid-January. I wanted something clean, impactful and beautiful - and I couldn’t be happier with the results!

Looking back, I think this layout has set the tone for most of the rest of my 2021 bullet journal themes - minimal and functional but also pretty and colourful. After a solid year of collaged journal layouts in 2020, I am moving well away from sticking anything into my book at all in 2021!

How to Draw this Easy Rose Doodle

These roses are also SUPER easy to draw! I have a tutorial on my TikTok or IG reels in case you’d like to learn.

My layout is largely the same as January, but with a horizontal double-page calendar spread instead of a single page calendar. The weekly spread has also changed to mimic the cover page a little.

My February Bujo Pages:

February 2021 calendar - pretty self-explanatory! I wanted lots of negative space and for the floral decorations to overlap the calendar grid.

Gratitude, habit and skincare tracker - I like combining these trackers into one spread! A few grateful words each day down the left column, and a dot in the space for each of my habits and skincare tasks. I have a pretty involved routine but also sensitive skin, so I like to keep track of skincare things like exfoliating acids and micro needling so I can’t accidentally overdo it.

Expense tracker - every cent I spend in the month, I’ll write down here. I used to stretch these over two pages, but I’ve condensed it down to two tables on a single page. On the last day of each month I tally up the total spent across each category, and transfer it back into my overall 2021 spending tracker.

February goals page - I don’t usually include monthly goals pages, but I’m trying something new for 2021! Hoping that monthly goals will keep me on track for my yearly goals - watch this space!

Weekly spreads - I like to keep whole weeks - Monday to Sunday - together. I typically spend more time in my office doing admin tasks from Monday to Wednesday, so I’ve given them a little more space on the left page. Thursday to Sunday are a bit smaller on the right page - those are the days I’m more likely to be out of my office and working on location!

My Bullet Journaling Supplies:

I’m using a Notebook Therapy Pastel edition Tsuki bullet journal in Mint Matcha for my 2021 journal (at least for the first half of the year)
The bold black lines and heading lettering was done with the not-brush end of the black Tombow dual brush pen*
The three pinks are Faber Castell Pitt Artist brush pens* in pink madder lake 129, pink carmine 127 and medium flesh 131. That link will take you to a set with three similar colours.
I’ve used a Sharpie pen* for all my fineliner needs in this layout!
My notebook cover is from Mimco, but is sadly no longer available.
