September 2022 Space Bullet Journal Theme with Watercolour
I’ve tried space themes before and not loved the results - finally, for September 2022, I’ve finally managed to create a space theme I like! I’m using watercolour paint, planet and star stickers and some paint pens to create my galactic September. Watch it all come together in the video below, or scroll on to see photos and supplies!
Cover and Calendar Pages
Not every month warrants a cover page, but I definitely wanted one for this month! I’ve added a watercolour ring and layered it with planet and star stickers (linked at the bottom of the page) and some dots of space dust with metallic paint pens. On the calendar page, I’ve added the watercolour element above the calendar to keep the watercolour texture away from the bottom of the page. I don’t like how it feels under my hand, so I try to keep it out of the way of where my hand will rest when I’m writing on the page later!
Musings & Goals Page, Mood Tracker Page
Musings and goals have taken the place of my old gratitude page, and I love this at the moment - monthly goals really help me, and the musings section can be whatever I need it to be. Quotes, shower thoughts, favourites of the moment. It’s great!
I forgot something important on my mood tracker page - the numbers for each day of September, and to allocate the doodles at the bottom of the page to specific moods! I’ll have to ask you to use your imagination - pretend there are numbers from one to 30 evenly spaced along that ribbon of watercolour galaxy - that’s where I’ll add each doodle, each day. The doodles go from happiest (the rocket) to saddest (the UFO). Pop over to my Instagram at the end of September to see what it looks like all filled in!
Habit Tracker & Spending Tracker Pages
As always, my habit tracker is made much easier with my thermal printer! I made my calendar template with Canva, and each month I add the tiny numbers in the corner with Photoshop.
My spending tracker is the same as always, and I’ll keep using it this way until I have a reason to change it!
Content Planner Spread
I’ve been really into scheduling my social media content for a while, and I let it get away from me for a few months - Instagram pushing reels made it a bit disheartening for a while there, as a photographer by trade! I got back into it in August, and this spread is a big part of that! I colour code each of my social accounts (I have four I need to post to consistently) and mark where I’d like content to go through the month. For instance, I post a new Youtube video every Monday, so I’d add a spot for that each Monday on my calendar. Then I work out what the theme of that video (or IG post, or blog post etc) and slot them into my scheduling software (I use Later!) as I go. It takes a whole day to schedule a month’s worth blog posts and Instagram posts for my photography business, especially since reels became such a big deal, but I’d much rather have it all planned out so I don’t have to think about it later!
Weekly Spread
As much as I love the way my watercolour endeavours turned out this month, there was NO way I was going to do it for every weekly too! This was the perfect chance to introduce some washi tape. It definitely looks a little bit different to the rest of the theme, but I’m totally OK with it - I still think it makes sense within the overall context!
